Invasion CD Release Solo Concert at Cal Poly Pomona University, featuring works from Shpachenko’s new CD “Invasion: Music and Art for Ukraine” by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Lewis Spratlan, and art by Ukrainian Artists Yurii Nagulko, Lesia Babliak, Kati Prusenko, Olena Papka, and Aza Nizi Maza Studio children artists directed by Mykola Kolomiyets, including the West Coast Premiere of Spratlan’s Piano Suite No. 1.
Also on the program are 4 West Coast Premieres of soccer-inspired works by Christopher Cerrone, Oliver Dubon, Tom Flaherty, and Evan Ware, and the World Premiere of Bad Attitude for 5 piano by Bill Alves (performed with the CPP Piano Ensemble.
